A-H approach
There is no one correct way to analyse a chest x-ray, the system you adopt will depend on your individual preference and learning style. One useful system for less experienced clinicians is to use the A-H approach:
A – airway
B – bones
C – cardiac
D – diaphragm
E – expansion of the lungs
F – lung fields
G – gadgets / attachments
H – Hilar regions
B – bones
