Introduction

The following causes of thyrotoxicosis can be diagnosed with a 99m Tc thyroid scan

1. Toxic diffuse goitre ( Graves’ Disease)
2. Graves disease in a nodular goitre
3. Toxic uninodular goitre
4. Toxic multinodular goitre
5. Sub acute viral thyroiditis
