Victor, a 45 year old magician, had developed a headache that had lasted 2 days and become worse.

His assistant had noticed at the theatre that Victor had become intermittently confused and had been acting out of character. In particular, he had been shouting instructions to his assistants, had difficulty pulling rabbits out of a hat and did not think he could saw anyone in half.

After the show, he persuaded Victor to contact his general practitioner who arranged to see him urgently.
