Signs

• Reduced visual acuity
• Corneal oedema
• Raised intraocular pressure (eye may feel ‘rock hard’ to palpation through lids)
• Oval unreactive pupil
• Hypermetropia (the anterior chamber is shallower and hence greater susceptibility to AACG)
