Presbyopia
With increasing age the lens loses its ability to change shape and the point of closest focus moves further away from the eye, this lack of accommodation is called presbyopia and usually becomes symptomatic from age 40.
Presbyopia Correction
The near object is brought into focus on the retina by adding a convex lens (Near Reading Add) in spectacles.
