An upper homonymous left quadrantanopia describes field loss affecting the left superior quadrant of each eye.

The lesion is bilateral so therefore post chiasmal.
It is often caused by damage to the inferior optic radiations as the nerves pass through the temporal lobes.

A right homonymous inferior quadrantanopia is due to lesion in the upper optic radiation in the left parietal lobe.
